Tour Description: Five
Island Tour! Maui,
Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Molokini.
Come with us for a 75 minute personalized narrated air tour
that weaves over the islands of Maui, Molokai, Lanai and Kahoolawe. Fly
along Maui’s North shore to Molokai where you will have a bird’s eye view of
breathtaking 2,000 foot waterfalls, the world’s highest sea cliffs,
and Father Damien’s world famous Kalaupapa peninsula. The tour then heads to
the pineapple island of Lanai to view the community of Lanai City and
Lanai’s resorts. You never know, you might just see a whale (in season) on
the way. Leaving Lanai's East coastline behind, you pass the West
Maui mountains and Lahaina, once the Capital of Hawaii, to see the forbidden
island of Kahoolawe. This island was once used as a bombing range by the
U.S. Navy. It is now being cleared of unexploded bombs, after which it will
be returned to the people of Hawaii. Views of Molokini; this small crescent
shaped crater was formed by a massive explosion caused by molten rock
(magma) that seeped into a chamber full of sea water. Currently it is home
to 156 types of tropical fish. From Molokini you will climb to mighty
Haleakala's summit to view this spectacular crater, descend down to the Hana
coastline with its tropical waterfalls and rain forests back to your point
of departure.
